My Personal Journey

Growing up, I was lightweight- 120lbs for all of high school.

I was the first person in my grade to get a Varsity Jacket as a cross country runner, but no one respected it because it "wasn't a real sport" and not for "real men." Continually, there was this idea that without muscles, I wasn't a true man or athlete.

Yet, insults and mockery didn't lead me into the gym. It was actually the show, One Punch Man, that started my fitness journey. It was a simple daily workout of 100 pushups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10km run.

Life kept getting in the way, but lately, I've been on a weight-gain journey pursuing the goal of getting to 165lbs.

Late in life, as I developed as a person, it became a mission of self-alignment with God and the Scripture that has propelled my fitness journey. It is sinful to neglect our health and to misuse these miraculously and wonderfully made bodies, and greater strength allows us to serve more greatly.
